My Professional and Personal Accomplishments

Aside from my beautiful family and obtaining my degrees, certifications and license to successfully fulfill my passion as an effective clinical social worker, I am most proud of my drive to push through my own insecurities about my abilities to assist in establishing and leading therapeutic services at a quality organization with the support of my mentors and colleagues. Since 2002, I have also been graced with the opportunity to supervise, guide and prepare many Master’s clinical social work and counseling students for entry level professional practice while guiding them through the licensing process after graduation.

Introducing students to professional clinical environments that offer direct practice learning in real-world service settings has become another strong passion and calling over the years.

I look at one of my biggest accomplishments to be the establishment of a quality internship program for clinical social work and professional counseling students here in Metro Atlanta. Over the years, as I continued to learn and grow from these “therapists in training”, they have been able to experience rich and rewarding professional development while delivering community based mental health services to a diverse caseload of children, adolescents, and their families.

I also implemented and spearheaded our training institute. The goal of the institute is to offer learning and training opportunities for new and experienced mental health, and addiction providers to learn more about integration and effective treatment interventions.
